FebruaryFest is here

Glencoe looks stunning at this time of year, the mountains are draped in their winter coat, the ski resorts are busy doing their thing, and around the Boots Bar fires there is talk of epic winter climbing.

It's a great time to head for the hills as we prepare for our annual Winter Beer Festival, FebruaryFest which kicks off on Friday 3rd February 2012. We're really looking forward to 4 weeks of the finest Scottish cask ale, great craic, and a full line up including live entertainment, ale & whisky tasting masterclasses and legendary quiz nights in the Boots bar along with the Winter Experience Lecture series every Tuesday night in the Bidean Lounge.

The Dark Side

The ale list here at Clachaig just keeps getting longer so you're guaranteed to find some great ales from An Teallach, Williams bros, Isle of Skye, Cairngorm, Glenfinnan, Caledonian, Orkney, Houston & local brewery Riven Leven Ales whenever you pop in during the festival.

As always we do our best to bring you something new and this year from Williams bros comes Profanity Stout, described as "Deeply Irreverent - or is that just Alloa? We can't wait for this one and, if you'll excuse the profanity, at 7% ABV it promises to be a ****** great beer!

Meanwhile from Caledonian we bring you Double Dark, a 4.6% ABV oatmeal stout brewed with 'honesty & endeavour' down in Edinburgh, where else.
It's a brewery captain, but not as we know it!
Now it may not look like much from the picture - it's the only one we could find - but we have been assured that the finished building & indeed the finished product from Loch Ness Brewery are something special. So look out for HoppyNess, LightNess, WilderNess...eh! I see a pattern here, and DarkNess amongst others.

For more details of what's on @ Clachaig click FebruaryFest or better still call 01855 811252 and treat yourself to a room at the Inn before it's too late!
